Worked at family’s franchise of Chai Point. Took lessons in hospitality business, operating various gadgets in the kitchen and maintaining hygiene of kitchen, serving to customers, operating POS software.
Understood various products like Champion Spark Plugs, Purolator filters and Gabriel shock absorbers. Learned about functioning of a unique wholesale market called Kashmere Gate where there are more than 5000 shops of automobile spare parts and how people operate on wafer thin margins and still survive. Also became aware how some people indulge in unethical trade practices like spurious and evasion of taxes.
Learned about marketing programs of Goodyear for large vehicle dealers of brands like Toyota, Honda, Ford & Volkswagen. Understood and operated the DMS, the procurement process and generation of MIS reports.
